Entering Freshmen:
• ACT score of 24 or better
• or a high school GPA of 3.5 or better
Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, or Transfer students*
*18 or more credit

• Cumulative GPA of 3.25
• Recommendation of advisor
Students can also join Honors in the following ways:
• Special permission of the Dean
• By faculty nomination

[ Graduating from The Honors College ]
you can graduate “in Honors” or “with University
Honors.”
• To graduate “in Honors” students must have*
- 18 hours of Honors coursework. 9 of those must be upper-division
courses.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5
- “Honors Program” will appear on diploma if the above
criteria are met
* If a student transfers to ASU with 36 or more hours, they may take
15 or more hours of upper-division work to graduate “in Honors.”
• To graduate with Honors students must have
- 24 hours of Honors work. 12 hours must be upper-division courses.
- Complete 2 Honors Courses per year
- Senior thesis in major or minor area
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5
- “University Honors Program” will appear on diploma if
the above criteria are met
